Hand of God football star Diego Maradona passes away aged 60

Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest, the Daily Star reports. Maradona had a heart attack at his home just two weeks after leaving the hospital where he underwent surgery on a blot clot in his brain. Maradona was hospitalized the previous week and had to have an emergency operation to remove a blood clot from his brain. A prodigious talent from the off, he scored 115 goals in 167 appearances for Juniors before a move to Boca Juniors in 1981.

Diego Maradona scored one of the most underhanded goals in World Cup history in 1986.

He played for Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, Barcelona, Napoli, Sevilla, and Newell's Old Boys during his club career, and is most famous for his time at Napoli and Barcelona where he won numerous accolades.
